Steve
Vanker started
in the tool and equipment field when his father,
Dick Vanker, opened Royal Rental Company in 1968.
He eventually purchased the business from his
father in 1985, and with his wife Julie founded
Midwest Tool & Equipment Center (MTEC). Over
the years, the company has evolved from a purely
rental supplier into one of the premier equipment
rentals, sales and supplies providers in the
Metro-Detroit Area. Steve is well respected by his
peers, his employees and his family.

Cheryl
Kerr has been
balancing the MTEC books since 1994 and does an
excellent job. Her expertise and experience in the
business office have proven to be a tremendous
asset to the company and her cheerful demeanor
provides daily encouragement to the whole team.

Emily
Emrick is a graduate from Oakland
University, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in
Communication. She has been working as an
administrative assistant at MTEC since May 2000.
She is responsible for MTEC's marketing, where she
created and maintains the website. She is also
responsible for creating and distributing brochures
